30年前吧，我還是個國、高中生，那時候聽西洋歌曲都是從廣播電台或是電視上的廣告歌曲，電視廣告都會搭配一首非常動聽的歌，然後會去唱片行買卡帶，這些卡帶多是「細胞」、「拍譜」(POP)或是「亞洲」等唱片公司出版的所謂大雜燴精選輯。
其中有一首，是1985年裕隆新速利汽車廣告的配樂，當時光聽到這首歌曲，就滿有感覺，看看歌詞，描述不告而別的小伙子，家中父母的牽掛...!一直以來我只記得歌名「Joey」，不知演唱者是誰，曾經用這個歌名去搜尋，跑出來的資料，看了三天三夜到眼睛脫窗，也找不到，這一直是我日記上的遺珠之憾，終於有天在「我愛80年代流行音樂」的粉絲頁，無意間瞄到，我可以把這首歌納入收藏了，感激同好。
